CHEESY TRAVELS

(this is a work in progress....more to come)
  • Roquefort, France - April 2009

Trip to the town of Roquefort in France, where they make the legendary and super delicious Roquefort blue cheese
. The limestone caves were so awesome, and look at those gnarly aging shelves!

  • At the Spanish border, near El Formigal, Spain in the Basque Country - April 2009

Here I am stocking up on Spanish cheese and other necesseties. Lots of sheep milk cheeses there. We also bought about as much wine as we could carry. My longtime BFF Minan was always in tow on my hot pursuit of cheese. We had one of most delicious and cheapest lunches ever, consisting of spicy chorizo and local sheep cheese on a baguette, washed down with an cold glass of Pastis liquer. YUM!
